Question

I need to open a .pano file.

It is also referred to as a unix Executable file. How do I open it?

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.3)

This is a Microsoft Camera application data file created on Windows 8.1. That is where you need to open/view it, as nothing on OS X can open this exclusionary file format.

While one use of the .pano extension is with Windows camera the extension has been used by other apps over time.

Where and how was the file created?
