Q: App Store requires 10.9 but I cannot download Mavericks without the App Store. HELP!

From the drop down menu click: About This Mac
Double check to make sure you see: v10.6.8
Make sure your Mac can run Mavericks > OS X Mavericks: System Requirements
Read prior to upgrading to Mavericks > Upgrading to 10.7 and above, don't forget Rosetta!

Aug 28, 2014 7:44 AMby dedloff,I was running Mavericks on my 2010 Macbook prior to needing to reinstalling the OS. Prior times when I reinstalled 10.6.8 Apple provided a copy of the App Store that was compatible with the OS. For some reason Apple included a copy of the App Store that is incompatible with the OS. Thus I have no way of downloading Mavericks.
