Q: Apple TV

i try to enable my MacBook Pro display on the TV while the Apple TV

is connected but when i go

Preferences-general-display

i don't have the Airplay Mirroring button to press

how do i solve it?

my mac software is up to date, but it's an old computer 2009

is that the reason?
