Facebook app timing out

I was using FB fine until this morning when it logged me out for no reason, no cannot log back in i get a constant 'Timed out no internet connection' message despite the fact i do have internet and wifi connection and all other apps/safari working fine.

have done full reset twice, deleted and re-installed facebook both from the home screen and removed my account and the app via the settings screen. Im still on IOS 6 as my phone is only 8gb so could never update to IOS 7 as the memory required was nearly half the memory of my phone! no updates available for my version of fb obviously but never had any issues until today. Weirdly despite the fact i am not even logged in and have no account connected in teh settings options as it wont let me, it still is showing notifications popping up for FB!! Any help appreciated its driving me mad!!

I have done the full rest (home and power button) twice.

I cant update to IOS 7 as physically not enough room!! I would literally have to delete all music, apps, photos, videos etc just to get the update and then would be left with nothing on my phone except the new IOS! which is why i havent done it. my phone says its has a total 6.9gb capacity and the update is 3.9gb so its pointless. Ive had no issues up to now with the fact im using the old IOS 6?

What i would do is update through iTunes.

Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

I can promise you updating your device will do you wonders on so much.

If you are still having an issue with room by doing it through iTunes you could always transfer the photos to your computer and then delete them off your iphone and re-sync them after the update.

My issue is i only have 500mb photos and 1.6gb music, even deleting or moving all of those still means i need to find another 1gb from somewhere and i barely have any apps etc so its mystifying where all the space is used! plus meant to have 8gb phone but only had 6.9 available from the start!! I also use my phone daily for music in car and at gym so deleting that to add IOS would completely negate my iphone, yes id have an updated phone but it'd be useless as i couldnt listen to my music playlists on it or take and store pics etc so thats the reason i dont want to upgrade.

I just cant see how the upgrade effects one app when everything else works fine?
