if you created a completely new Apple ID instead of updating your existing one's associated email address, then all your Apps are tied to the old account and will forever require that account to update. Which is why the store requests it.
There is no way to transfer purchase between accounts, so you will need to continue to use the old one
...actually that is not quite true. I had a similar problem with a disused applied connected to a no longer accessible email address.
The fix seemed to be to delete the apps and repurchase but one app has A LOT of data in it that I wanted to keep.
So I given that the old id was in a family chard set up , and so is the new one, I tried purchasing a fresh up to date version of the app with my new id on the desktop. It did that fine. When I checked in iTunes, however, there was only the new version of the app not the old one. When I synched the iPhone with the old version of the app and all of the data, then it updated the app, and left the data intact.
This is because the app update does not overwrite the data, just updates the app.
So assuming your old and new ids are in a family share setup with your desktop and your mobile device then you don't need to delete the old apps, just repurchase them and they will be updated - with data intact.
