What makes you think that you need these firmware updates?
To check your Firmware version, go to > EFI and SMC firmware updates for Intel-based Macs
FWIW, the last > iMac EFI Firmware Update 1.3 for the Mid 2007 7,1 models was back in April of 2008
Thanks,
but links for Graphic card and HDD was broken.
Again.....why do you feel you need those specific updates? Are you having a problem?
Those web links work fine here.
Please answer Mike's question "Are you having a problem" so that we can help you.
I'm so sorry...
Just need to look this utilities. I changed hdd and have some problems with fans and hdd's temperature.
This problem was decided with special utilite, but I think that possible have a standart decision.
Also, I not sure about videocard firmware. I have errors and can not install latest version Final Cut.
Its a small chance to save my loving old iMac for some future 🙂
Links for download utilities for hdd and video is broken.
P.S. Sorry for my English 😟
The external temperature sensor on the old Hard Drive must be transfered to the new Hard Drive and the small temperature sensor wire must be plugged back into the logic board?
1. If you did not do that, then you need to do that so that the fan(s) will operate correctly.
2. If you damaged the temperature sensor, the cable or connection on the logic board, then you will need to replace those parts.
3. You should not need to reinstall the EFI or SMC firmware if you only changed the Hard Drive.
You cannot install the latest version of Final Cut because your video card does not support Open CL under Mavericks Final Cut Pro X, Motion 5, Compressor 4: Graphics card compatibility
Ok. Thanks. I just worried about it. Will check temperature sensor. Possible it broked. Temp not hi, but iMac really hot without fan speed increase.
