iMac Mid 2007 firmware update

I tried to found firmware updates for iMac 27 Mid 2007 (7.1).

Page Intel-based iMac: Installing available updates

have only broken links.

Is it possible to find this soft?

iMac, OS X Mavericks (10.9.4)

I'm so sorry...

Just need to look this utilities. I changed hdd and have some problems with fans and hdd's temperature.

This problem was decided with special utilite, but I think that possible have a standart decision.

Also, I not sure about videocard firmware. I have errors and can not install latest version Final Cut.

Its a small chance to save my loving old iMac for some future 🙂

The external temperature sensor on the old Hard Drive must be transfered to the new Hard Drive and the small temperature sensor wire must be plugged back into the logic board?


1. If you did not do that, then you need to do that so that the fan(s) will operate correctly.


2. If you damaged the temperature sensor, the cable or connection on the logic board, then you will need to replace those parts.


3. You should not need to reinstall the EFI or SMC firmware if you only changed the Hard Drive.
