I am unable to redeem email gift card from Apps store on my macbook pro

I received gift voucher via email. The email included gift card number and a pin at the bottom.. However, used both but invalid. I tried printing out the voucher but it didnt work thought there will be a different code after printing. I am using my macbook pro for redemption.
