ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4670 Driver Issue

Hello,

I've recently installed Windows 8.1 on my home desktop for my son and I through bootcamp. We haven't had any issues up until now, and (mostly) everything is working great. Windows allows my kid to play the games not available for Mac and I can switch between interfaces whenever I need to. I'm very satisfied so far. However, when I switched to Windows 8.1, there were some slight issues with the Apple Bootcamp support files I was given. The actual bootcamp program in the support files didn't install, so windows didn't know I was running bootcamp. Also, my speakers on my mac didn't work, and install the drivers provided also proved fruitless. The graphics card inbuilt works for almost any game, however, my son's favorite game, "Minecraft" doesn't seem to think my drivers had GL support/are dated. This doesn't make sense to me as all the other games, including ones with higher CPU needs than Minecraft work fine, and Minecraft works fine on the Mac interface. We don't really like having to switch back and forth just to play different games. AMD (the company that makes ATI Radeons) has an auto-updater for drivers, but it tries to install the wrong one and there's no manual download for my specific card (ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4670).

My computer:

iMac late 2009, 21.5 inch

3.33ghz Intel duo CPU core

8GB RAM

DirectX 11

ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4670

I run windows 8.1 pro. I will also mention the boot camp files had a driver for my card, but it didn't install correctly. If any more information is needed to solve this, just ask and I'll do the best I can.

Cheers

use the official supported apple verified drivers

Apple - Support - Downloads

have the same video card in my imac and it works pretty well with all games I play in win8.1

also you will likely get more success asking in the bootcamp forum then in the imac as more people who use bootcamp will be reading boocamp forum then readers of imac forum will be using bootcamp

Boot Camp

Let me first just say thanks for the help.

If you're talking to official driver files found in the boot camp assistant from Apple, they don't work. The setups never install correctly. If it's something different than the bootcamp drivers, I would need a more specific link 😟

I also realized there was a boot camp discussion so I'll move it over there, thanks.
