Error 0xE8000004 when trying activate iPhone 4 (GSM)

Hi there.

Two days ago I restore my iPhone 4 GSM from iTunes and when trying to activate it, I get the message Error 0xE80000004. I can not activate my iPhone 4 using wifi connection because asks me directly connect to iTunes and after displaying the error is not active and does not let me do anything.
I have restored my iPhone 4 from several PCs and always I get the same error when trying to activate it.
Can anyone help me please?

For several days some iPhone 4 users in Spain are having this error when trying to activate or restore factory our iPhone 4 (iPhone 4 Only)

Regards

Sorry for my english.

I'm about to change Wi-FI module of the iPhone 4 with the same problem, I think the module is grayed and this is the root of the problem. I'll come after couple of days with report.

Don't bother. What you're doing is completely unsupported. Apple does not sell iPhone parts. If you do that, it's no longer an iPhone.

I also have the same errors.
Some expert told me that the issue is caused by an motherboard corrupted info.

And he told me that the motherboard need a new UEFI and bootloader.

I do not know what that is exactly. But its something with the motherboard. It detects our iPhone as version 0.0.0.0

So its nulled. There is no actual information about our iphone, thats why iTunes cant activate it.

But I do have SIM card carrier network on it. I can MAKE CALLS, but I cant go on WIFI, CAMERA, AND FLASHLIGHT do not work.

But I just I also contacted Apple Support Netherlands. So I need to call them tomorrow about this issue. It seems like they are ignoring this issue.

My iPhone has no icloud locked on it. Or IMEI number also not connected to APPLE DATABASE.

So I wondered why I couldnt activate. But with the motherboard information it made sense to me that it could be the issue.

Hey man, thanks for that tip.

My iPhone 4 GSM from Brazil was not working the wifi. So I decided to restore the iPhone, and i stayed stucked on the 0xE800004 error, on many computers.

So, I opened the back of the iphone, remove the battery, remove the metal plate on the top of the iPhone, that have about 5 screws, disconnected all flat cables that i found under this metal plate, and connect again. And....Voilà!!! the wifi worked immediately and no errors on itunes anymore.

Thanks, hope to help all the guys with that.

if your having activation problems, this should work 100%. take out sim card, hold down home button plus power button also, apple logo should appear, 2-3 seconds after logo release power button, keep home button held until plug into itune appear. open itune and plug it up. now you can update/restore. after this your iphone need to complete the update/restore. when completed install your sim card and wait a few to be activated.
