Q: Error 0xE8000004 when trying activate iPhone 4 (GSM)

Hi there.

Two days ago I restore my iPhone 4 GSM from iTunes and when trying to activate it, I get the message Error 0xE80000004. I can not activate my iPhone 4 using wifi connection because asks me directly connect to iTunes and after displaying the error is not active and does not let me do anything.
I have restored my iPhone 4 from several PCs and always I get the same error when trying to activate it.
Can anyone help me please?

For several days some iPhone 4 users in Spain are having this error when trying to activate or restore factory our iPhone 4 (iPhone 4 Only)

Regards

Sorry for my english.

    Hello everyone,

    Anyone has found a solution?

Do you think with IOS 7.1.3 the problem be corrected? If so, when the output of the IOS is planned?

    Thank you

I have the exact same problem!

iTunes appears to complete the restore but the phone will not connect to iTunes to complete the set up.  The computer can detect the phone but it is being blocked somehow from getting through to iTunes.

Has anyone taken their phone to a genius bar etc?

    Hey everyone!

All users who Update or Restore their iPhone 4 are facing same problem.

Recently Apple is busy with iPhone 6 and 6 Plus and iOS 8's bug,

It seems like Apple is ignoring these issues or bug and not helping their customers.

So lets try these...to request Apple to fix this bug and release 7.1.3

Evreyone having this problem Please go to this link,

    https://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html

Enter your Name and email address,

Sub: After restoring 7.1.2 Celluler and Wi-Fi disabled and iTunes can't activate the iPhone 4

    Feedback type: Bug Report

Select your iOS Version and Computer's OS

    then in the Comments box

tell the problem you are facing...

    I write these.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------------------

(1 week ago I update my iPhone 4 GSM from iTunes and when trying to activate it, I get the message (Error 0xE80000004).

I can not activate my iPhone 4 using cellular or wifi connection because iPhone asks me directly connect to iTunes.

I have restored my iPhone 4 from several PCs and always I get the same error when trying to activate it.

For several days many many iPhone 4 users are having this error when trying to update or restore to 7.1.2 .

I think iOS 7.1.2 disabled the Cellular ann wifi, and its a bug, and you must have to fix it.

Cause if the phone is not activated then its nothing but a peper weight.

Please, fix this bug and release iOS 7.1.3)

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------

Then Click "Submit Feedback" Button to send feedback.

Hope and wait for the iOS 7.1.3

    Hi,

I don't think that your phones are damaged or anything else. I had the same issue and I managed to downgrade to iOS 6.x using 3rd party tools like iFaith and also iTunes 11.0.

However, I have my SHSH saved for version iOS 6.x. It's funny that I needed to use some hack tools to get my iphone working again.

Good luck to all, hope this issue will be solved soon!

If I can be of any help to someone, let me know!

    Regards,

    Mitko

I am from the US. Have the same problem. Need to have Apple to release a new version (ios 7.1.3) to address the problem: when trying to activate iPhone 4 GSM via iTune, it failed with error0xE8000004  . I just updated to ios 7.1.2 but still have this problem after a factory reset. Apple please listen and help.

You are not going to get a response from anyone at Apple here, this is a user to user forum.. What you do is take it into an Apple store or Apple Authorised Service Provider and have it examined.
