Just installed Mavericks on my MacBook Pro and "Notes" is now a separate app. Now I cannot sync the laptop to my iPhone 5s. the Notes are still on the iPhone, but I couldn't sync it with the Notes app.

Thanks for your reply...I setup my iPhone 5S yesterday with the syncing path you mentioned and the Notes App is still not syncing. Is there anything I can do my MacBook Pro to sync it? When I view iCloud, I see my notes.

I don't have any notes in the Notes app as none of them synced with 5S or iCloud. So I don't have anything to move over.

Yes, the iCloud preference pane is checked in the box marked Notes. Still nothing in my MacBook Pro Notes. Do you have any other suggestions for me?

Yes, the notes on the iCloud website are the same as the ones on my phone. But none of the notes showed up on the new Mail app that was installed after I installed Mavericks. Before Mavericks was installed, my notes appeared up on my Mac Mail email account. After Mavericks was installed I no longer had the notes on Mac Mail and then installed the Notes app. I think that I might not of configured the Notes app correctly.

What else can I try? Thanks for everyone's assistance.

My mistake...I didn't mean the notes did not appear in Mail, rather I meant they didn't appear in the new Notes app.
