How do I make a draft print with Epson xp 215

Hello all,

I am trying to print in 'draft mode' with my Epson xp 215 and I can't find this option under 'Media Quality'.

Does the printer misses this option or is it something with the apple software.

For the rest it works really fine.

Thanks...

MacBook Pro, OS X Mavericks (10.9.4)

First question - are you using a driver with Airprint in the name - that's a minimum-options driver.

On my Epson's print dialog, lower right side, there is a pull-down menu with all the options in it. This menu has a horizontal line extending through it - I guess to show that something else can appear below.

Inside that pull-down, I have several categories of added menus. For mine (there are lots of variations in these categories), there is one called "Print Settings." When I click on that, I get a menu with "Advanced" as a choice near the bottom. I click that. Then for Print Quality, I can choose Economy, Normal, or Photo.

I would select Economy for draft. But again, this is for my model Epson, yours may be slightly different.

I don't use Airprint on My Macs - it's original intended use was for mobile devices - iPad, iPhone, etc.
