printing problem /Library/Printers/EPSON/InkjetPrinter2/Filter/rastertoescpII.app/Contents/MacOS /rastertoescpII)

I have tried the various posted remedies and in addition the Xerox ColorCube has the same, or similar error problem. I am trying to print to Epson 1400, Epson3800 and Xerox ColorCube, and have the problem 'error' without an explanation , is it with Epson or Apple? The two Epson are connected by USB the Xerox remotely upstairs if that helps … by the way thanks to everyone who participates and helps us ...

https://www.linkedin.com/profile/view?id=10250276&authType=name&authToken=TIZ0&t rk=connect_hub_pymk_profile_name … the message doesn't stay long … the advice to check for the computer name and rename the computer didn't work … I did try to repair disk permissions and have "Warning: SUID file “System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/Contents/MacOS/ARDAg ent” has been modified and will not be repaired." which is new to me … I appreciate the links but I haven't found the answer yet … the printer window has the Printer Ready message … thanks again ...

Ok let’s see if I can remember ... the Epson guy in Manila was great ...

System preferences ... Print and scan ... remove all the printers ...

Control click left box … reset printer

Library ... Printers ... Epson ... Trash ...

Library ... Caches ... Epson ... Trash ...

Library ... Printers ... Epson (your printer).gz ... trash

Restart ... for the Epson1400 apple software update worked

for the Epson 3800 ... download the 9.22 software from Epson.com

Hi,

I am new here... I followed your suggestions since I had the library error and printer looked fine but did not want to print.

I did what you suggested, but now I am stuck. I restarted my macbook and now I don't know how to re add my printer.

since you seem to know what you're doing, maybe you know what I should do. I also went to the download page of the epson site, but I don't know what I should download. There seems to be so much.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Hi ... this is kinda' like the blind leading the blind ... there are are sharper knives in the online drawer, if you know what I mean ... if it's the Epson 1400 ... under the apple ... software update, apple sends it along (I didn't see it on the Epson site) ... if it's the 3800 the software is easy to find and update on the Epson site ... 'drivers and support' from the home page ...

http://www.epson.ca/cgi-bin/ceStore/support/supDetail.jsp?BV_UseBVCookie=yes&oid =79928&infoType=Overview ... when either is installed then ... apple ... system preferences ... print and scan ... and hit the plus button and the printer should be there to add ... I wish you well ... Jim ...
