Q: Moving lines on right side of MacBook Pro screen

I have a 2009 13" MacBook Pro that is having an odd problem on the right side of the screen. Intermittently, the right side gets covered in moving horizontal lines and color distortion:

This problem fades out and eventually disappears as the computer restarts, and it's not possible to predict when it'll show up. Is this a sign that the computer's finally going out, or is there a known fix?
