Un-downloading TV Shows from Library

I have downloaded most of the episodes from a TV Show (in HD) onto my MacBook Pro and it is taking up too much space in storage. How do I un-download them from my library? (Basically, how do I get the download cloud icon (that is on the episodes I have yet to download to the library) back on the episodes that I want on the iTunes cloud and not downloaded onto my iTunes library on my computer anymore, so that if and when I want to watch the episode again I can just download it again - and when finished un-download it again...and so on.)????

MacBook Pro (13-inch Late 2011), OS X Mavericks (10.9.4)

Hi MatthewPaul4,

You can delete content from your iTunes library by following the steps in this article -

How to delete content you've downloaded from the iTunes Store, App Store, iBooks Store, or Mac App Store

http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5772

Specifically -

TV shows

Mac or PC

  1. Open iTunes.
  2. From the Library pop-up menu, choose TV Shows.
  3. Click Shows in the navigation bar.
  4. Click a TV show.
  5. Click a TV episode you want to delete.
  6. Press Delete on your keyboard.

In iTunes 11 or later, the TV show cover art will remain visible, but a Download icon appear on it to allow you to download the item again (in countries that support this).

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

Best,
