Sep 3, 2014 8:19 AM in response to For-Christ-aloneby brenden dv,Hi Trish,
I apologize, I'm a bit unclear on the exact process you are describing. If you are trying to delete an app from your iPhone, you may want to make sure you are doing the following:
iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
- Tap and hold the app you want to delete.
- The apps will begin to jiggle.
- Tap the X on the app.

Sep 3, 2014 11:45 AM in response to For-Christ-aloneby brenden dv,Hi Trish,
Double clicking the Home button will allow you to force quit a running application, but to actually delete it you need to press and hold on the app's icon on the Home screen (not at the bottom) until all the icons are jiggling, then press the X next to the app.

Sep 3, 2014 11:39 AM in response to For-Christ-aloneby pogster,Trish, if the above doesn't work try going into Settings > General > Restrictions and see if Deleting Apps is turned ON. If it's off you can't delete. Then exit and try again.
If that doesn't work try resetting your phone.Turn your iOS device off and on (restart) and reset You won't lose any data.

Sep 3, 2014 1:30 PM in response to For-Christ-aloneby AmishCake,The warnings about FB Messenger are overblown. The Messenger is privy to the same content on your phone that FB is already accessing.

It may not be overblown to you, me, or anyone else but we still need to respect this individual's desire to not want this app for whatever reason they have. This is not the place to persuade them otherwise. She came here asking for help. Let's stick to the task at hand.

Sep 4, 2014 5:57 AM in response to pogsterby For-Christ-alone,To Pogster it was that was last to reply i want to thank you for your
sense of compassionate feeling
for my desires. However the majority of people i am seeing that do have
said about facebook messenger perhaps might be right. So for now i will
leave it.I did go into settings as to where u said to go and all apps were
enabled,(turned on) .So i guess we shall see.I did however reboot it and
that got the apps to jiggle like they should should u want to delete any.
So again i thank u for all the replies and help everyone has been chipping
in with.
So again i say Thanks,
may God bless
Trish
