I had the same problem. I RESOLVED it by checking my contacts. It looked as if I had some duplicate contacts, some of which had contact numbers and others that didn't. Looks like it may have been contacts created from apps like WhatsApp which don't copy the phone numbers across. By deleting the duplicate contact without numbers it worked.

Might there be a pronunciation issue? If there is, Siri may not be recognizing the exact contact whose name you are using.
See "If Siri is pronouncing a name incorrectly ..." here:
Siri recognize my contact but she can't find a phone number. This number I have on my contact list
I have the exact same problem, only I have some contacts related to my family which Siri won't call. So if I say "call my brother" Siri won't find the number, if I say "call (and here I add my brother's name)" Siri will apparently find his phone number.
you have not indicated in the contact information for your brother that he is your brother. In his contact info tap edit then tap " add related name" and indicate there that he is your brother. Then siri will find him when you say "call my brother"
But its working to last saturday.
Now, i must say full name of this person, before i can talk "call my wife" and Siri says "Calling to ...."
Now its not working...
Any suggestions?
I believe I too am having the same issue. I'm not sure when it started, but I don't think I have changed anything obvious. It used to work without any problems.
When i say "Call my wife" it correctly identifies who my wife is and her contact card, but then says, 'I don't have a phone number for x.' However, I can then say call 'x' and it will dial her phone number. If I look at the contact, it clearly shows the phone number and the relationship fields being set up correctly. I've also tried deleting the relationship fields in both my and her contact card. Then I tell Siri who my wife is... once again, it leads to the same issue.
The only other thing that I can think of, which might be relevant, is that I use google apps for my domain and store my contacts through them. I wonder if it has something to do with how google tries to offer an 'Other Contacts' directory...

I have exactly the same issue. My contacts are in the iCloud.
Same issue. Siri finds my wife but can't find an attached number. I have no other contacts remotely similar to my wife's name so mismatched references can't be the problem. If I mention my wife's name itself, siri can call her. The problem first began about one week ago. No setting changes or contact changes were made around the time the issue began.
I'm having the same problem, it started about 2 weeks ago for me. I have a 5s on Verizon
Me too.
Meant to add that I have same problem with Siri; if I ask it to call my wife it identifies my wife but says there is no phone number; if I speak my wife's name, no problem. iPhone 5 on AT&T.
I also have this same problem. 5S on Verizon.

And as a response to an earlier post, yes I have the related name field filled in. It has worked for a very long time, since I had a 4S with Siri actually and all of my contacts are in iCloud. No Gmail. No Exchange. Just iCloud and a broken Siri.
If tell Siri, "Call my wife on her cell", Siri says, "Uh-oh, I don't have a phone number for <My_Wifes_Contact_Name>".
Content not available.
The contact itself has her as my wife and has her phone number in there correctly.
I have a Gmail account, so I sync my contacts with Google.
I have the same problem. Not sure when it started, but it may well have coincided with me installing the beta for Mavericks. It only affects "my wife" as far as I can tell (my mother, my dad still work). Siri correctly identifies my wife but claims she has no phone number.
