Hello! My Macbook Pro mid 2009 beeps three times after having change the ram from 2x2(4 Gigs) to 2x4(8Gigs) of RAM. Both new RAM modules do not work either together or by themselves. They do however work with an old RAM module, originally to have been found in my MacBook. Can anyone tell me what I need to do to make both new RAM modules work?!

Typically, it means the memory is defective or not installed properly.

Be sure the memory you have installed meets the specs required for your specific model.
Memory meets the specs. It has something to do with ECC. I, like mentioned above, have a new and old memory module in my Macbook. It now runs with that configuration. But it's only 6 Gigs of memory and not 8 like I opted for when buying two 4 GB modules....
