Q: how do I find my iphone backup password? I cannot restore my phone from my backup

I cannot restore my phone from my recent backup. To restore it, I need to input a password to unlock my backup. How can I bypass this step? How do I find this password if I cannot remember it? HELP!!!!

iPhone 4S, iOS 7.1.2

Thanks for the question. While you cannot bypass the password, the following resource provides some helpful tips on what the password may be, as well as information on potentially recovering your password from your Keychain in OS X (does not apply to Windows/PC):
