How do I make a logarithmic chart using my own Data in Numbers?

I need to make a chart using logarithmic data for a flood distribution chart and can not get the Data to plot the way I would like, with a Log scale along the X Axis and my discharge values along the Y axis. How can I insert this data?

Hi Chad,

To get a logarithmic X axis you need a Scatter Plot, not a Category Graph.

X and Y data not in Header Columns. Labels are in a Header Row.

Click on the Column letter A then shift click on letter B to select both columns.

Insert a Scatter Plot.

With the plot selected,

Format Panel > Axis > Value (X) > Axis Scale > Logarithmic

Edit. The trendline is linear 😉. Ian.
