iPad Air, or iPad mini retina?

I'm a college student thinking of getting an iPad in the months to come. However, I'm not sure of which one to get...Should it be the air, or the mini retina?

I want to be able to view documents (ppts, word, spreadsheets) in it, surf the net and at the same time I want something portable. If I were to get one, should it be the one with cellular service? or just the plain WiFi model?

Screen size aside, what other things make the air (or vice vera) different from the mini?

MacBook Air, OS X Mavericks (10.9.4), 13 inch

I Personally would get the mini. They are great devices. They more portable than the full sized iPads. I wouldn't waste time on cellular either unless you don't have a cell phone.

I Have an iPad mini and would never go back to a full sized ipad.

the only thing I would say is to get at least 32g so you have enough memory for docs.
