Songs cutting off

I have songs purchased from iTunes that cut off 20 to 60 seconds before the song is over. Why is this happening?

iPod classic, Windows 7

Hello valhalla_patrick,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

What I recommend is to first delete the song and download the file by following the steps below.

How to delete content you've downloaded from the iTunes Store, App Store, iBooks Store, or Mac App Store

Download past purchases

I have this same problem on hundreds of songs for some time now. Due to more pressing medical and life issues I kept putting this off. Is there an easier way then attempting to make a list of every dong that does it as I'm playing iTunes (driving, running around, etc). Then deleting them, then re-downloading. Plus some of the songs are from cds. How did the files become corrupted in the first place? This is an iTunes issue that has been going on for some time now (based on complaints in the communities going back to 2012). I have over five thousand songs in my itunes files.
