I have been having this error message for a few months now and it is really getting on my nerves...
Tried most of the solutions but none seems to help
I really need help as I do not have any backups for my iphone 5, if it dies then I'm so dead

i tried deleting the mobilesync files but it doesnt helps... idk where to start from
What version of iTunes do you have? How much free space do you have on your computer?
i use itunes 11.3.1 and i have around 11.19gb of free space on my mac
I don't use a Mac, but make sure your iTunes is the latest version. Make sure your Mac has all system updates. Restart your computer and unplug all your other USB devices. In other words, follow all the suggestions in the article.
i tried using another computer and it still doesnt help at all....

You got the same error message even when you tried to back up on another computer? What about iCloud, can you back up with iCloud?
yes.. im not sure if its the problem with my phone or both the computers
i tried to backup to icloud from my iphone but it always says ''backing up.... estimating time remaining...''
You may want to search the forum for similar posts about this problem to see if anyone else has been able to resolve it. Or maybe make an appointment at the Genius Bar at your nearest Apple Store to talk to the techs there to see if they can help you.
For me (with the same problem) it was fixed when I removed what I assume were corrupted files from Safari on my phone. Safari was crashing, and I followed instructions to clear all the data (under Settings - Safari). After that my phone backed up fine, because I was getting the "tiTunes could not back up the iPhone because the backup could not be saved on the computer" messages, and I had plenty of free space on my hard drive.
