How to restore firmware for iMac 11,2 (Mid-2010)

I need to restore my Firmware for iMac 11,2 (Mid-2010).

1. Which Firmware Restoration CD version do I need? I could not find the version for iMac 11,2

2. Could I use Internet for Firmware restoration?

3. Would creating a bootable CD help?

Background -

I had a few power-cuts here and I am not able to boot into my machine. Upon pressing the 'Start' button, I get a progress-bar that appears below the apple logo and upon completion of the progress-bar, the machine shuts-down. I do not get the login screen. I very recently updated my operating-system to OS-X Mavericks.

iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

Have you tried holding down "Option" after you turn the machine on" It should give you a list of bootable drives on your machine. If you have the Recovery partition select it and verify disk and permissions.

Hi,

Pressing 'Option' key gives me two options - 'EFI Boot' and 'Recovery-10.9.3'

After selecting, 'Recovery-10.9.3', it goes to 'OS X Utiities' with 4 options.

I have already tried 'Disk Utility' and verified both the disks - there is no problem.

There is no option for 'Firmware Restoration'. Do I need to do anything?

It may not be a firmware issue at all. If you can see the disks, and Recovery HD comes up, the hardware seems to be fine. You can run Apple Hardware Test - Using Apple Hardware Test.
