Q: os x snow leopard blue screen

hi i have installed os x snow leopard and then the latest update 10.6.8 and now the screen goes blue and i have to safe boot it to start it everytime and then there is no sound

iMac (21.5-inch Late 2009), Mac OS X (10.6.8)
