How do I to manage save location in my iMac of optimized media during import?

When I'm importing some file with optimized media, it is create in many different folders referent another jobs that haven't any relation with job about media that I'm importing.

So, I need to manage it to save in the right location according to media subject.

iMac, OS X Mavericks (10.9.4), FCPX 10.1.3

I do this process when I import AVCHD files (compact files from Sony FS700 camera), before the importation. It works.


In fact, I leave unchecked the "create optimized media" in every importations that I do.


Do you know if when I drag some file from a folder to fcpx browser automatically fcpx create an optimized media? Because I leave unchecked all options to create optimized media and I think it stills creating optimized media when I do this. In fact, I don't know which circumstances optimized media is created.
