iMac screen is not displaying properly

Some time today, my iMac started displaying some type of outline in the background. I bought it in December, and I've never had any issues with it until today. Does anyone know what the outline is? I heard it might be dead pixels, but I honestly have no clue.

UPDATE: I just checked the screen again and it's normal now. Can someone explain what happened? 😕
