Hi I would like to know how to pull a still image from a video file in iMovie 10.0.5 and then convert it to a jpeg file. I am using a iMac Desktop computer with Mavericks osx 10.9.4 operating system. Can anyone help please

or, just some simple keyboard-mambo:
• playback your video full-screen shift-cmd-F
• hit Space to pause,use arrow-keys to nudge thru video
• hit cmd-shift-3 to take a screen grab
• open resulting file in Preview, export as .jpg ..........

I move the pointer over the video to the point where I want to export an image. I then Choose the "Share" icon and select "Image". Select the location where you want to save the file and voila, there is a JPEG still frame of where the pointer was when you selected "Share".

Thank you Karsten! Like a charm… And if you use dropbox and you select view in full event mode, you only need to • hit cmd-shift-3 to take a screen grab and it will be saved to your screenshots folder.
