How to change user/owner on an iPad?

I have an iPad before and used iMessage, Facetime and all those things.

Now I gave it to my sister and what I did was I remove my ID there already and she created her own ID. After a few days, she said that my wife and I's message is still popping up on her iPad and my wife even called her while trying to call me on my iPhone.

Is there an easy way to say to the iPad that I am changing owner on the iPad? How can be sure that all my iMessages and Facetime calls won't be in her iPad anymore.

If you want to give away your iPad, make sure you erase all content and settings:

Go to Settings > General > Reset, then tap Erase All Content and Settings.

This will completely erase your device and turn off iCloud, iMessage, FaceTime, Game Center, and other services.

If you're using iOS 7 and have Find My iPhone turned on, your Apple ID and password will be required. After you provide your password, the device will be erased and removed from your account so that the next owner can activate it.
