Can you, is it permissible, to transfer your music/BOT in iTunes that you put there, to another's device?
If so, how is that done? Just plug it in, pick the items and transfer?

There's limited capabilities with Home Sharing right now, and family sharing in the coming iOS8.

If you mean put your music collection on all your friends' iPods, well, that's why they make it hard to do. I guess the media companies have decided it is all right for limited sharing inside a domestic group but are still (understandably) very against general media sharing .
