ipad deactivated informs to connect to iTunes but iTunes does not connect

my daughter forgot her password, ipad is deactivated, need to connect to iTunes.

when connecting itunes does not sync with the ipad, on the ipad task bar at the top icon for summary it not in the list therefore cannot see the ipad.

any idea to restore the ipad will be helpful

Your post is a little confusing to me so I apologize if I am misunderstanding you.


If you see the Summary Window in iTunes, then the iPad has to be recognized in iTunes, or you would not see the summary window at all. There is no iPad task bar for the summary window. I don't know what that means.


If iTunes does not recognize the iPad try this.

iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows


Or this, if you have a Mac

iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for OS X


Chances are, you will need this anyway in order to unlock the device, so take a look here as well.
