Sep 8, 2014 5:58 AM in response to ihsan hanyby Ralph Landry1,There is no option but to get the previous owner to remove the Apple ID and password, or remove the device from the iCloud account, Find My Phone, or get the money back. That is the Activation Lock, and anti-theft protection that on one can bypass. The iPhone will not be useable without removal of the lock.

Sep 8, 2014 6:03 AM in response to ihsan hanyby Ralph Landry1,There is no one who can legally do that...if they do your friend relinquishes all further help from Apple...that involves hacking and jailbreaking which are prohibited by the license agreement and terms of use.

Sep 8, 2014 6:53 AM in response to ihsan hanyby Ralph Landry1,Apple is very clear about the Activation Lock, iCloud: Activation Lock it is for anti-theft protection. Apple is also very clear in their License Agreement and Terms of Use for all products that hacking and jailbreaking results in loss of ALL further support from Apple. Apple will not help with an iPhone that is Activation Locked and the previous owner is unreachable. There is nothing your friend can do with that iPhone.
