Hi
I have iTunes 11.3.1(2). I'm sure that up to now iTunes has allowed me to specify which playlists I can share by Home Sharing. Now it appears I have an option either to share everything in my library or turn off Home Sharing altogether.
Is there anything I'm not doing that I should be doing?

It sounds like you are looking to use the local network sharing feature of iTunes, which can be found here:

For the sharing feature mentioned above, you do not have to be signed in to Home Sharing and it does not require the other computers utilizing the shared library to be signed in to your Apple ID. Take care, and thanks for visiting the Apple Support Communities.
