Q: Setup Mac Mini to use USB monitor without HDMI initially
I'm just about at my wits end on this.
Ok there was a previous question I asked but that was several months ago and never got it fixed. That question was about upgrading to Mavericks. It automatically tries to install and failing. That I will handle later. Sooooo I'm trying to get it back running now but running into another problem. I only have access to a USB monitor, and AOC. I guess it won't work natively without installing other software. So now I'm stuck with a mini mac that I can't work on because it can't use the monitor that I have to fix it.
Anyone know a work around? How can I force it to bypass the install and load up? If I can maybe the USB monitor will work.
Mac mini, OS X Mavericks (10.9.4)

Do you have access to another Mac? If so install it on your disk when in an external enclosure. Then add the drivers for the USB monitor and test it. Then use that HD on your Mac.
