“pop3.live.com” on port 995 timed out

On both my iMac and iPhone I am getting an error on my outlook.


The server returned the error: The connection to the server “pop3.live.com” on port 995 timed out.


This problem seems to be exclusive to my apple products since it works fine on all my windows devices and I am able to read my email on outlook.com just fine.


Has anyone else seen this issue before and know if there is a quick fix?

iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.5)
