Q: No sim on my iphone 4 status bar, works fine for few minutes after restarting phone or reinserting SIM.

No sim on my iphone 4 status bar, works fine for few minutes after re-inserting SIM  or restarting phone, but after a certain time reverts back to same situation, updated software still no respite.

iPhone 4, iOS 7

    thanx Joe_73 for ur help,

     

    looks like the problem is with the sim, it comes alive whenever i restart the phone, reinsert the sim or switch on /off aeroplane mode. I tried to put the sim in a different handset and the problem persists. so Luckily my iphone is alright just need to get a new sim.
