I have a new macbook air and am plagued with annoying popups.

    1. If adware is installed without your knowledge,

     

        download AdMedic by clicking the link “Download AdMedic now” from here

     

        http://www.thesafemac.com/admedic/

     

        installing, and running it to remove adware.

     

        Once done scanning and removing the adware, quit the app by clicking AdMedic in the menubar

     

        and selecting “Quit AdMedic”.

     

     

    2. Safari > Preferences > Extensions

     

        Turn those off and try Safari.

     

    3. Safari > Preferences > Privacy > Cookies and other website data:

     

        Press “Remove all website data” button.
