Q: How do I remove the free U2 album from my iTunes library?

So we all have a free U2 album in our iTunes library now. I don't like U2 and don't want it. I get an option to 'hide' it in iTunes, but not to delete it. How can I remove it entirely from my library in iCloud? I have just been to iCloud.com, but can't see anything there.

iTunes, Windows 7

There's no option to delete these songs on the phone itself.

Usually you swipe left on the song and it will delete. I had a song that was stuck and when you swipe left it would play the song!

Apple live chat support had me do this:

Go to Settings > General > Usage > Then find the Music App under Storage and click it. At top hit Edit and Delete to the left of All Music

This will remove it from your phone and ALL OTHER SYNCED MUSIC leaving you to resync your music again.

The only other option they gave me was to backup my whole phone and reset it completely and restore my backup

Is there a cloud icon to the right of the song title.

My music library is no longer a private space, a company can slip their own material in without asking me. This is one more private space removed. I've hidden the album but it's still in recently added playlist which now renders that feature useless. This is a disrespectful act by apple.

Sue them and stop bothering us. We are not Apple. We are other users like you (well perhaps less paranoid and realistic) who simply try to help other users. You don't require help. you just want to whinge.

Well if you hit shuffle and it goes through the songs it will eventually play them. That's the annoying part right there. I shouldn't have to create a playlist without them in there and we should all have the option to delete it. Maybe Pete can figure it all out and let us know

You have been told how many times. Get a child to read the instructions for you, or better still get them to delete the album for you as it is obviously beyond your understanding. What you are doing now is trolling. And we all hate trolls.

Go away and start your own thread if you can work out how.

Oh for gosh sakes.  Just open your list of songs and delete them.  Slide your finger right to left, tap the delete box.

If you "hide" the album in iTunes it won't come back unless you unhide.

How many times do I have to say I have show all music set to "Off" and I did completely hide the album in iTunes. If some other people on here were not so ignorant and just answer a simple question maybe this thread wouldn't be 10 pages long. I have done this since my first or second post and your all coming back with follow the steps or ask a child answers.

Again, reset your device as I suggested in the last post I sent to you.... Read the entire post. It is showing you how it should be working, and suggests a reset of your device if it is not working that way for you....

Another clue that your device probably needs to be reset is your ability to get the "Delete" option on items that are still in the Cloud. This is not normal either. So, both things point to a need to try a reset.

Three steps.  You only did 2.

Last step.  You can delete songs that have COMPLETELY downloaded from any device.

    Then reboot your phone.
