Can you cut a micro sim card and use it in an unlocked iPhone 5s?

I bought an unlocked iPhone 5s but I still have a contract and use a micro sim card. Is it possible to cut my sim card and still be able to use it with the iPhone 5s?

iPhone 5s, iOS 7.1.2

There are SIM cutters, but first ask your carrier if they can provide a nano-SIM. You will still keep the same phone number, and it won't affect he contract.
