Numbers for iPad: any way to make text the default cell format?

Of course:

Tap on the cell to select it
Tap on the format icon (paint brush, upper right)
Select the format and options you wish to use

thanks, James. Actually, I was looking for how too make sure an entire worksheet defaulted to, say, Text format. Which you are right in applying your steps to all columns highlighted, and so forth. For some reason, it wasn't working (seems to be now 🙂 - maybe it's ur magic). Perhaps a corrupted file brought in from Excel or Polaris.
