Got the same message when I updated tonight. Everything seems to be working OK, though. Also get another error message when in iTunes check for update.

Yours is the quickest fix. I extracted the file with Pacifist and replaced it. It works, but takes a while to extract it.

All 3 symbolic links were bad. There were 4 Code* files, now there is just the 1 (CodeResources).

You should have removed the CoreDirectory symbolic link as well.

You are running 10.6.8, most posters reporting problems are running Mavericks.

Just to add my ditto - got the same error message following the software update to iTunes 11.4. I'm running OSX 10.6.8 on a late 2009 2 Ghz MacBook. HELlooooo Apple.... is a fix coming?

Got the same message, now iTunes keep stopping and crashing. Any idea how to correct this, or go back to the previous version of iTunes. This is really annoying, cannot listen to my music.

I have done the fix as well and I can't sync or back up my iPhone 5. My iMac is running 10.6.8.

FYI - I have been contacted by someone at Apple and have been asked to talk to him via telephone to provide data to Apple Engineering about this. So they are on the case.

Same issue running 10.6.8 on intel tower. Start or restart I get the error message.

I have my printer plugged into my USB and I'm unable to print. So frustrating!
