Hello! We own a small business that does payments on an ipad through Elementps.com. With the rollout of Apple Pay we'd love to get on board providing it as an option to our customers instead of credit card swiping. But we cannot find any information as to how to become apple pay merchants.
How do we go about offering the service to customers when it rolls out in October? We want in 🙂

Apple pay and any near field transaction processing for merchants is handled by your bank and their Merchant Services department.
If your credit card equipment is older you will need to install a new terminal in your business. The answer to your question lies with the bank that clears your credit card transactions, not with Apple.
if it is any consolation it is very simple. Just install the right equipment and you are good to go.
