Anyone know what time the iPhone 6 will go on sale, on Friday? Does it matter where you are in the US (i.e.. is there a different order-opening time on the east coast, compared to the west coast?

We here are users such as yourself, not Apple employees. Your search for that kind of info will be as effective as ours. If it doesn't proclaim it somewhere prominently, it is probably not one set time everywhere - server loads and such.

I think, in the past, it has been at midnight Cupertino time. But, I hope they will make some sort of announcement.

Yes, I wish they would announce this too. Oh well, it's currently 11:15 pm on the 11th here in Sydney, so in 45 min I'll know if it's midnight local time or not...
Well it's gone midnight in Sydney and I still can't order the 6. Sigh. Guess it's midnight Cupertino time. Oh well, less than 17 hours to go...
I chatted with someone from Apple Store and was told that we knew as much as they did when it came to pre-orders. Most carriers have said 12:01 AM PDT, so I would assume that with Apple HQ in CA, it would likely be the same time.
