In iTunes 11.4 (which just updated today) - the Sync Music checkbox is missing for my iOS devices. The devices are the latest released versions from Apple (just verified).
Any ideas?

From your screenshot, it appears that you have iTunes Match enabled on your iOS device, which in turn disables the function to sync music in iTunes.

Thanks alex_h1 - much appreciated. Not sure how it got enabled on the phone. Glad you pointed out the cause - the iTunes screen is cryptic and I wouldn't have figured it out without your tip. Thanks again!

I have this problem also but have never used iTunes match and it is not on on any of our devices??
