Q: itunes shuts down with my iPad in DFU mode...
Please help.
My iPad mini 2 is in DFU mode, I followed the normal process with opening up iTunes to start the restore process. The moment the iPad is connected, it restarts and iTunes shuts down and won't re-open while the iPad is connected. I have also tried disconnecting and re-connecting and the same thing happens. I tested iTunes with my iPhone connected and there are no issues. It would seem it's related to the iPad in DFU mode...?

If iTunes is becoming unresponsive when your iPad is connected, I would recommend the steps in the following article.
