Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
U2 and Apple gave away the album for free on iTunes, and if you had automatic downloads enabled on your device, it downloaded on its own. If you are seeing the cloud icon next to your music, it indicates the songs are not being stored on your device, but are available to download as part of iTunes in the Cloud. To hide the items that are not on your iPod, please follow the steps in the article below to disable the "Show all music" option.
- Just show music that’s been downloaded from iCloud. Go to Settings > Music, then turn off Show All Music.
- Remove iPod touch from your list of “iTunes in the Cloud” devices. In iTunes on your computer, choose Store > View Account. Sign in, then click Manage Devices in the “iTunes in the Cloud” section.

If the music has downloaded automatically and you would like to delete the songs from your device, simply follow the steps below.
- Tap the Music app.
- Tap the Songs category.
- Swipe left over the song you want to delete.
- Tap Delete.
