I can't use Arturia Jupiter 8v synth In GarageBand 10

I just bought the Arturia Jupiter 8v virtual synth.

But Garageband 10 refuses to mount it as an audio unit

(I get a message that it needs to be updated - but it is updated to

the latest patch.)

I have the elicenser updated to the latest patch - no joy.

I tried clearing the audio units cache - no joy.

Ironically, I also have the Arturia Spark LE - and that mounts

as an AU plugin in Garageband 10, no problem.

Ironically, I can also get the Jupter 8v au to mount in the old Garageband 6.

So what is exactly going on?

I've read somewhere that Apple has initialised "sandboxing" in Garageband 10 - is this

meant to put off developers or prevent end-users like myself from being creative?

So Apple seems to be going against its old values in terms of accessibility and

ease of use.

I'm just scratching my head.

That does not mean, that it is compatible. With GarageBand 10.0 some audio units are no longer compatible, that used to work in GarageBand 11.0. GarageBand 10. only supports 64bit Audio Units.

GarageBand for Mac is a 64-bit application and works with 64-bit Audio Units plug-ins. 32-bit Audio Units plug-ins are not compatible.

See this link: GarageBand for Mac (v10.0): Unexpected behavior with Audio Units plug-ins

But I tried just now, and with this download link the audio unit is working: http://www.arturia.com/evolution/en/products/jupiter-8v/resources.html
