I uploaded music from itunes and changed the settings on a new IPad...but I need to return it for a different model and want to clear the data and cchanges. How do I do it?

I gave away my IPAD although is still linked to my apple ID? can I delete everything from my apple id?
Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Contents and Settings will fully cleanse it.
