Go step by step and test.
1. If adware is installed without your knowledge,
download AdMedic by clicking the link “Download AdMedic now” from here
http://www.thesafemac.com/admedic/ .
Install it and run it by clicking “Scan for Adware” button to remove adware.
Once done scanning and removing the adware, quit the app by clicking AdMedic in the menubar
and selecting “Quit AdMedic”.
2. Safari > Preferences > Extensions
Turn those off and try Safari.
3. Safari > Preferences > Privacy > Cookies and other website data:
Press “Remove all website data” button.

Hi Dominic, Looks to have been successful thanks very much for your help, you are a star :-)
Thanks, Dominic! I tried step 1 but apparently my version of Safari (5.1.7) is too old to use AdMedic. I did complete steps 1 and 2 and it appears that Yum Arcade is gone. Hope it stays gone!

Hi Dominic:
You seem to be the one to ask about this.
I noticed in your instructions be the same if someone (no need to name names here) was stupid enough to have agreed to the malware being installed?
Also, are your steps good for any malware? I have Crush Arcade.
Thanks so much for any help you can give,
The app is now called adwaremedic and is at adwaremedic.com

I had the same issue—after downloading the app the others recommended, and though it found a couple other things, the mysterious CrushArcade business was still sticking around...
Finally figured this out in regard to Chrome (as opposed to the above for Safari). Go to Menu > Chrome > Preferences: Extensions. Lo! There was the malware. Hit the "trash" icon, and get rid of the sucker.
Thank you so much. This ad extension Crush Arcade has been irritating me for a while now, and That was so simple!
"Lo" and behold! The Mac doctor has spoken! Thanks dude, too easy
