Looks like no one’s replied in a while. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question.

My MacBook Pro is no longer recognizing my printer.

I have a MacBook Pro, OSX 10.9.4. The printer I use is an HP Photosmart Premium. I have always been able to print wirelessly from my laptop. Today, for some unexplained reason, it is not. I have a desktop, Dell, and I am able to print from that. When I try to print from my laptop, nothing happens and there is no printer icon on the dock as there normally would be. When I open the printer preference box, it shows the printer as idle. My wireless connection is also working properly. Can anyone help? Thanks

Hello Elizabeth Ploog,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

I'd like you to first please delete the printer and then add it back in by following the steps in the article below.

If the issue persists after deleting and adding the printer, then please reset your printing system, and add the printer back.
